Denture Stabilization with Dental Implants

One of the common complaints about dentures is the difficulty in keeping them securely in place. This is because over time, there is bone loss that causes the bony ridge to shrink back, causing the dentures to become loose. This requires continuous relining and replacement of dentures.

To keep your dentures secure, Dr. Jayne recommends dental implants that specially fitted dentures will snap onto. The more implants used, the greater the stability and the more natural-looking we can make your dentures look.

Dr. Jayne can also retrofit your existing dentures to snap onto implants to give you no-slip, no-adhesive dentures!

Dr. Jayne can help you add comfort and stability to your dentures.

Why use Dental Implants to stabilize Dentures

When teeth have been missing for a long time, the bone underneath the gum shrinks away due to lack of the stimulation normally provided by chewing. Not only does this make dentures loose, but it also greatly ages the person’s appearance. Additionally, the loose dentures can cause discomfort or embarrassment when eating and speaking.

With dentures, you only have a fraction of the normal chewing power. This makes it hard to eat the healthy foods you enjoy. With denture stabilization, your chewing power is greatly increased!

Types of dentures we offer
Full Dentures

Dr. Jayne can make you a set of natural-looking, comfortable dentures. These require that all teeth be removed and your dentures are fitted over your gums and kept in place with adhesive.

Partial Dentures

Traditional partial dentures are held in place by metal clasps that go around existing teeth to secure the partial dentures in place.

No-Metal Partials

With flexible, no-metal partials (some with a cosmetic clasp), no one will notice you’re wearing a partial denture.

Immediate Dentures

Dr. Jayne will place these immediately after any teeth are extracted so you can leave our office with esthetically pleasing, comfortable, temporary dentures. You wear these while your gums heal prior to permanent dentures being placed.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are removable and snap securely over a ball and socket.

Relines and repairs

We take care of relines in-office. Repairs are done in our excellent lab.
