Jayne Hoffman, DDS
Dr. Jayne has been serving the Santa Clara community for over 20 years. In order to provide the best possible care for her patients, Dr. Jayne stays informed of the latest advancements in state-of-the-art dental procedures through continued education.
In 2014, Dr. Jayne was honored by the Consumer National Advisory Board as one of “America’s Best Dentists.”
Dr. Jayne has also earned another year of “America’s Top Dentist” 2014, 2015 and now 2016.
Dr. Jayne is committed to her patients’ dental health and she is proud to provide knowledgeable, comfortable and lasting dentistry. Dr. Jayne is excited to announce that she soon will be able to add “published author” to her resume! She was selected as a Collaborative author of “The Road To Success, Volume 2” with Jack Canfield-coming Fall 2016.
Why Dr. Jayne chose dentistry
Dr. Jayne comes from a family of compassionate, caring medical professionals. Her decision to pursue a career helping people feel better was influenced by her father, a physician, who passed on stories of the gratifying work he did with his patients.
Dr. Jayne discovered her professional calling as a teen, after braces were removed from her teeth. She immediately felt more confident and healthy, with the ability to smile and laugh without embarrassment. This new-found self-assurance gave her the freedom to participate more fully in all aspects of life, and she wanted to share that experience with others.
Education & Advanced Training
Dr. Jayne attended the University of San Diego, and graduated Magna Cum Laude, that is with the highest academic honors.
Dr. Jayne attended the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (formerly the University of the Pacific Dental School), where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. The Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, located in San Francisco, California, is one of the most rigorous dentistry programs and complete training then and today.
She completed a residency in the specialty of Intravenous Sedation at UCLA. In addition, she received advanced training through the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation.
Dr. Jayne is a certified Preferred Provider of Invisalign® clear orthodontics and Lumineers® custom-made veneers.
Dr. Jayne exceeds the requirements for dental continuing education each year.
Transforming smiles and people’s lives
Nothing gives Dr. Jayne greater pleasure than being able to help others become happier, healthier individuals by transforming their smiles.
People with smiles they consider unattractive often feel embarrassed to smile or laugh. Poor oral health can affect the rest of the body; for example, there is a proven link between gum disease and heart disease and diabetes. It is Dr. Jayne’s mission to help patients have a beautiful healthy smile.
One of Dr. Jayne’s success stories involves a sixty-five-year-old nun with very severe dental problems. Due to a childhood trauma, this nun was terrified of dentists, and for over 30 years had avoided seeking the restorative treatment that she desperately needed. After treatment with Dr. Jayne, she emerged a very different person, transformed from fearful and shy to vibrant and healthy.

Contributing to society
Dr. Jayne feels it is important to contribute to society and help others. She is active in supporting a number of community and charitable programs.
Since 2013, she has spearheaded a program called “Dr. Jayne Treats for the Troops.” Dr. Jayne created an alliance with three local Catholic schools. Together they collected dental supplies, notes of appreciation and 500 lbs. of donated Halloween candy to send to Operation Gratitude, an organization that distributes contributions to U.S. troops abroad.
Previously, she has volunteered in Mexico and Central America, administering vital dental treatments to orphaned children, and in Ghana to help with vaccination against polio.
Helping the Santa Clara community
Dr. Jayne has provided local schools with funds to use for dental education and has provided free dental screenings for students.
In addition, local homeless teens have received the benefits of Dr. Jayne’s experience through the free dental services she has provided in her office. She has also provided free oral cancer screening to the local community.
In May 2016, Dr. Jayne Dentistry reached out to recognize and thank our local Santa Clara teachers and nurses for all of their dedication and hard work! Dr. Jayne Dentistry brought Noah’s bagels and tooth care gift packages to the faculty of Westwood Elementary, Millikin Basics, Haman Elementary, Scott Lane, and Washington Open School to show appreciation of educating our future leaders. We also honored the nurses at PAMF, N ***, and Santa Clara Urgent Care.
One of her goals for the upcoming year is to offer internship programs to teens interested in dental careers. She also enjoys hosting booths on dental education at local events such as chili cook-offs and Celebrate Santa Clara.
Outside the Office
Dr. Jayne enjoys spending time with her daughter, Alexandra, and with her family and friends. Some of their favorite activities are attending concerts, traveling, wine tasting and watching movies, especially comedies. The family shares their home with two pets: Spice, a sweet, friendly dog and Chip, a cat whose coloring is similar to that of a chocolate chip cookie.
