High-Tech Dentistry in Santa Clara

Dr. Jayne and our staff want your treatment to be comfortable and efficient. We use some of the latest equipment that modern dental technology has to offer to achieve this goal.

Below, you can read about some of our high-tech equipment.

Hepa H13 Medical Grade Filtration system in each treatment room and reception area

The Hepa H13 Medical Grade Filter removes at least 99.97% of air particles .3 microns and larger, this is about 118 millionth of an inch. It is the best defense against dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores and most other allergens and pollutants. This will ensure your dental care is done in an environment that has the minimal amount of virus and bacteria and that your dental visit is as safe as possible.

New adapter for suction to convert slow speed suction to high speed

This suction system allows us to safely remove droplets and aerosol particles speedily while providing treatment. This system can filter germs, viruses and dusts in the operatory. This is another measure we are adopting to keep you visit safe.

“First Defense” mesh nasal filters for you

These nasal meshes are provided for added safety by helping to protect against foreign airborne particles entering the nasal passage. It can reduce respiratory exposure to viruses, bacteria, dust particles and other contaminants.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays capture a detailed, all-inclusive view of your teeth and mouth. This allows Dr. Jayne to assess parts of your jaw that can’t be seen with traditional dental x-rays. Panoramic X-rays are often used to evaluate jaw joint problems or assist with dentures and implants.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays provide many advantages for both the patient and the dentist. Office visits are shorter, digital X-rays use 80% less radiation than film X-rays and the high quality images allow Dr. Jayne to see the tiniest of cavities. The X-rays may be reviewed immediately on one of our large screen computer monitors. Since digital X-rays don’t require chemicals as film X-rays do, they are also much more environmentally friendly.

Intraoral Camera

Intraoral cameras are small handheld digital cameras that comfortably take images of the inside of the mouth. The device streams a live video feed to a computer monitor, allowing both Dr. Jayne and her patient to review the results without delay. Dr. Jayne uses the intraoral camera as a tool for examination, treatment planning and patient education.

SNAP Instant Dental Imaging

With our cosmetic imaging software we can show you how your smile will look after a smile makeover or after specific cosmetic procedures.

Ultrasonic Scalers

Our hygienists use Piezo ultrasonic scalers to remove hardened plaque and heavy stains from the surface of your teeth. The high-frequency sound waves of the ultrasonic scaler vibrate to remove buildup without harming your teeth or causing any discomfort. Ultrasonic scalers also increase the speed of cleanings.

Diode Lasers

With diode lasers, we can correct uneven or “gummy” smiles in one brief visit. The laser precisely and painlessly sculpts the gums to improve the appearance of the smile. The diode laser also cauterizes as it contours a uniformed gum line, which speeds up healing time.

Magnification Loupes

Being able to see our work in minute detail with our magnification loupes makes for precision dentistry.
